The Frontier Mission Center (FMC) acts as a source of knowledge for others. It is a place where people can find information about unreached people groups, strategies, training courses, and missions opportunities. In many ways it is similar to the ministry of John The Baptist. It is a ministry which 'prepares the way for someone else.'
Here is a very general overview of some of the functions of the FMC
Research -- Systematic study and gathering of information. This also includes conducting field surveys when there is no existing information on a people group in our region.
Resources -- Making resources and information available to distribute to others. Communicating job opportunities available among Unreached People Groups (UPG?s) to call forth field workers.
Mobilizing -- Imparting vision for frontier missions to Churches and individuals. This includes short-term teams, sending long-term workers, prayer, giving, caring for field workers and speaking on behalf of those who have been sent.
Training -- Connecting people with the proper mission training that they need to be effective. We also run mission schools, seminars and conferences. We also develop a strategy of continuing education to keep those on the field effective and personally challenged.
Member Care -- This is simply being involved in the practical care of field workers. Member Care includes logistical help, counseling, pastoring, encouragement, communication with family and home churches etc.
Network -- This is the process of working together with other mission organizations to have a greater degree of effectiveness on the field.
